Prefabricated substation or control building

We challenge any argument to support the opinion that prefabricated substation or control building cause you to invest more. If you consider the cost of coordination and cost of delaying you project start up, you will see that prefabricated substation or control buiding offers you a significant saving to your investment. 

We build prefabricated substation or control building to meet each customer’s specification. It is a custom design. Main equipmet such as switchgear, motor control center, distributed control system (DCS) panel, programmable logic controler panel, DC system etc are prewired and factory tested before delivery.  What our customer needs to do is to place the prefabrucated substation or control building on a suitable foundation and make incoming and outgoing connection. Additional equipment such as HVAC unit, pressurization unit, fire and gas detection system, fire suppression system, public address, and general alarm (PA/GA) etc. are also available.

We have experience to get our work in progress and finished product certified by  American Bureau Shipping (ABS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Germanischer Lloyd (GL), Bureau Veritas (BV), and Moody International . Third party certification for work in progress include raw material quality and traceability, welder qualification, welding procedure specification, performance quality records, weld inspections, tolerance alignments, corrosion control system, non destructive testing and load test. 

Using prefabricated substation or control bulding instead of concrete or fix building has the following advantage :

  1. Installation cost is lower. Just place the power control room on a suitable foundation and make incoming and outgoing connection.
  2. Start up time is minumum. All equipment inside are prewired and factory tested .
  3. Reduce the possibility of delay to install all equipment inside. To install all the equipment inside a concrete or fix building at the job site need a tremendous coordination with multiple equipment vendor. 
  4. Single contact point.  Only one purchase order is required.  We are the one that doing the scheduling and expediting.
  5. Custom design. Any size and any combination of equipment inside are possible. 
  6. Elevated building design is easier. To build elevated building is a lot easier with transportable power control room. Cable installation and connection in an elevated building are eaiser and  faster. All cable can be located on an exposed cable tray where cable maintenance and inspection are easy.
  7. Our customer can focus on the main task. The electrical engineer of our customer organization can focus on the main task that is important and few such as developping single line diagram, three line diagram, load study, short circuit study, motor starting study, control schematic, equipment specification etc. We take care all work that is trivial and many such as arranging the equipment ayout, making sure the right clearance, sizing the cable tray, sizing floor and wall cable entry, sizing correct cable transit etc.

Distribution and control equipment

Any configuration that suit to your requirement. Whether you want main-tie-main circuit breakers connected to motor control center on the left and on the right. Or generator control panel on the upper door of the switchgear. Or a line up with transistion section to an existing switchgear that was already obsolete.

Mobile substation

This equipment is a perfect solution to minimize down time due routine maintenance and equipment failure in your substation. Just connect the cables in and the cables out in a matter of hours or even minutes depends on the capacity, you will get your power back in service. Available from less than 1 MVA up to 20 MVA.

Living quarter

In addition to our prefabricated substation or control building, we can also provide prefabricated living quarter. Most of large scale projects that requires prefabricated substation or control buiding also needs living quarters. Therefore we can be your single contact point for both of prefabricated substation or control building and living quarters. Any function or combination of them is available such as bed-room, living-room, kitchen, toilet, change-room, laundry-room, office etc.
